Our Story

HSF is my thanksgiving to God and my commitment to giving back by helping children who have lost their mothers during childbirth.
After experiencing a severe postpartum hemorrhage that nearly cost me my life, I came to a life-changing realization. Following multiple post-delivery surgeries over six hours, as I lay in recovery, I knew that my life had been spared for a reason. My doctor’s words stayed with me: “You are so lucky to be here to take care of your baby.”
Those words resonated deeply. While I was overwhelmed with gratitude for my life, I also felt a profound burden for children who are not as fortunate—those who lose their mothers at birth and must face life without that love, care, and support.
It was from this place of gratitude and conviction that the Health Support Foundation (HSF) was established. Driven by a strong passion and determination to make a difference, HSF exists to support children from birth to sixteen years of age who have lost their mothers during or immediately after delivery.
Recognizing that children’s needs evolve as they grow, our support system is structured in two phases. Phase 1 focuses on children from birth to seven years, addressing their early developmental and care needs. Phase 2 supports children from seven to sixteen years, providing continued guidance and resources as they grow into adolescence.
