MaRy DodooMary is a servant of Christ, wife, and mother of three. Growing up in Ghana, she watched her own mother exemplify a life of service by feeding the less fortunate and encouraging the young and old. Following her mother’s footsteps and growing in Christ, she began to find joy in serving others too.
Mary worked as a Residential Counselor at The Arc Of Greater Prince William/INSIGHT for 15 years where she cared for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities. She recently transitioned into the hospital setting as a Patient Care and Clinical Technician at UVA Health Care. Every patient she encounters is met with exceptional care and an infectious smile. Mary has been recognized over 15 times by her department because of patient’s reviews about her quality care. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and trying new recipes. She serves as the leader of the Greeters Ministry in the local church. Mary continues to give back to her homeland by supporting an orphanage. Anything that includes giving excites Mary! As a woman of faith, one of her anchor Scriptures read: “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people“ (Ephesians 6:7). Mary’s drive for serving people comes from her love for God and her desire to serve Him wholeheartedly. He is her motivation for living a life of service in and out of the workplace. |
