​Dr. Leslie Bawuah is a resident of Delaware where she lives with her husband, Peter, and their one year old daughter, Zhane. She was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. After graduating from high school, she attended James Madison University and Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry, consecutively. Following graduation, Dr. Bawuah worked as an analytical chemist in New Jersey. She decided then to continue her education and in 2009 received a doctorate of pharmacy from Howard University. While attending Howard University, Dr. Bawuah founded the Howard University Student Pharmacist Outreach Team (HUSPOT). The mission of the organization is to provide pharmaceutical services to underserved communities. The organization allowed Dr. Bawuah the opportunity to travel to Haiti on a medical mission.

She is a strong believer in the old saying, “to whom much is given, much is required.” Her passion to serve continues to burn strong.
