Being part of HSF has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. The support we provide transforms lives—restoring dignity, creating opportunities, and bringing hope to children and their families.
Our work goes beyond meeting immediate needs. Through education, healthcare, and emotional support, we help children grow in safe, nurturing environments while strengthening the communities around them. It is a privilege to witness this transformation and be part of a mission that continues to inspire every day.

Little Steps, Big Change: Kaylee’s Story

Kaylee was born on September 2, 2021, the same day her mother tragically passed away during childbirth. She has an older brother (5 years old) and a teenage sister (16 years old). Their father abandoned them, leaving their maternal grandmother and Aunt Ann (her
mother’s younger sister) to care for them.
With their aunt already raising two children of her own, providing for Kaylee and her siblings was a struggle. Essentials such as diapers, baby formula, food, clothing, and medical care were often out of reach.
HSF stepped in to provide much-needed support:
Ensuring Kaylee receives proper nutrition and essential food items.
Providing medical care when needed, strengthening her immunity and overall health.
Easing the financial strain on her caregivers, allowing them to focus on nurturing the children.
Impact of HSF on Kaylee’s Life
When Kaylee was first introduced to HSF, she was
withdrawn, fearful, and often grumpy. Now, she is a
vibrant, social, and playful child. She has formed a strong bond with HSF staff and gets excited about their visits, even asking when she will receive new shoes.
Her improved health and lively personality are
testaments to the positive impact of HSF’s support. Kaylee has started her school in January 2026.
