Communications and Outreach

Mabel is the communication and Outreach Director. She graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Secondary English Education and has taught secondary school for 6 years. Currently, she works as the Internationalization Specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools, informing the school district on ways to progress in global education. Her passion for children is not limited to middle schoolers— as of October 2017, Mabel is in training to be a DONA certified doula. Her passion for childbirth and motherhood stems from her unique story of trying to conceive and her belief that every woman should have an advocate in the delivery room. She enjoys educating her peers on the importance of childbirth education, laboring options, and overall women’s wellness. As the Communications and Outreach Director, she aims to inform the public on Health Support Foundation and how to engage others in the conversation of maternal mortality and advocating for motherless children.
